About Us

FreightPath LLC is a spin off of Fountainhead International LLC which has been delivering logistics software solutions to freight forwarders and 3PL companies since 1995. In 2002, Fountainhead International was approached by Everts Air Cargo (Fairbanks , Alaska) to develop software for their all cargo airline business. The following year, Canadian North Airlines made an agreement with Fountainhead to expand the airline cargo system, and was the second carrier to utilize the FreightPath Airline Cargo System. Both airlines will speak positively about their experiences in this regard.

Based on the current competition in regards to software for cargo airlines (old technology or prohibitively expensive for smaller carriers) a decision was made in 2004 to separate the airline cargo business and focus more resources on developing this business segment. A separate company was created, FreightPath LLC, and Ted Braun was named the president of the firm. The overall response to this development by cargo airlines has been positive and FreightPath is in the process of expanding our offering to both current and future airline clients.

FreightPath LLC's purpose is to provide cargo airlines with competitive IT solutions. We are creating a high quality corporation, which aids our clients in their efforts to enhance efficiency through technology. Our goal is to assist our clients in improving their visibility, quality of service, and profitability.

Prior to taking on the management of FreightPath, Ted was Southeast Regional Manager for Fountainhead and the CargoWise suite of solutions and before that, Ted was a consultant to Fountainhead, while running Braun & Associates in Atlanta. Ted was Country Line of Business Manager, Cargo Solutions for Atraxis (Swissair Group IT company), based in Atlanta, GA. His career spans a stint as Assistant Director, Cargo Procedures and Automation for IATA in Geneva, Switzerland, Program Manager, Cargo with Unisys Corporation in Blue Bell. PA, and 15 years with Seaboard World Airlines and later Flying Tigers, both in Europe and in Los Angeles, CA.
